Give yourself time to settle into the rhythm of safari. This seven-day journey combines Tarangire, Lake Manyara, the Serengeti, and Ngorongoro, with three nights in the Serengeti and two full days dedicated to exploring its wildlife. It is a journey for travellers who want time to watch, photograph, and enjoy each place beyond the first sighting.

Depart Arusha in the morning and travel to Tarangire for your first game drive. Explore the baobab-dotted landscape, looking for elephants, antelopes, giraffes, and birdlife. After a picnic lunch and further wildlife viewing, continue to Karatu for the night.

After breakfast, head to Lake Manyara National Park. Explore its woodland and lakeside habitats, watching for Hippos, baboons, monkeys, elephants, and birds. Enjoy a picnic lunch before returning to your lodge in Karatu for a relaxed evening.

Travel through the Ngorongoro highlands towards the Serengeti. Allow much of the day for the journey, with stops along the way. Enjoy your first Serengeti wildlife sightings as you continue to camp, arriving in time to settle in before dinner.

Set out with your guide for a full day of wildlife viewing. Explore different areas according to recent sightings, pausing to watch animals and enjoy the landscape. A picnic lunch allows you to stay out and make the most of the day.

Enjoy a second full day in the park, with time to explore further or return to a rewarding wildlife area. Your guide will shape the day around your interests and conditions. An optional hot-air balloon safari can be arranged in advance at an additional cost, subject to availability.

Enjoy an early game drive before travelling out of the Serengeti towards the Ngorongoro highlands. Continue to your lodge and spend the evening relaxing before your final day on safari.

After an early breakfast, descend into the Ngorongoro Crater for a game drive. Look for wildlife across the grasslands and around the wetlands before stopping for a picnic lunch. Later, return to Arusha, where your safari ends at your hotel or an agreed drop-off point.
