Travel from the Ngorongoro highlands to the northern Serengeti, combining crater wildlife with time in the migration country around Kogatende. Three nights in the north give you more opportunities to follow the herds and explore the Mara River area, with a flight back to Arusha to finish the journey.
Route: Arusha → Karatu → Ngorongoro → Central Serengeti → Northern Serengeti → Arusha by air

Meet your guide in Arusha and travel to Karatu. Settle into your lodge and enjoy a relaxed afternoon before the wildlife adventure begins the following morning.

Leave early for a morning game drive inside Ngorongoro Crater. After a picnic lunch, continue to the central Serengeti, arriving at camp for dinner. This is a full day combining wildlife viewing and a long transfer.

Spend the day exploring the central Serengeti. Your guide will search for wildlife around the plains, river courses and rocky outcrops, with a picnic lunch allowing you to remain out in the park.

Travel north towards Kogatende, enjoying wildlife viewing along the way. Arrive at your migration camp later in the day and settle in for three nights.

Explore the northern plains and Mara River area, following reports of herd movements. If animals gather near the river, your guide may spend time watching for a possible crossing.

Enjoy another day of game viewing in the north. The flexible schedule allows time to follow the migration or explore other wildlife areas, depending on the day’s conditions.

After breakfast, transfer to Kogatende Airstrip for your scheduled flight to Arusha. Wildlife viewing on the way depends on your departure time. Your safari ends at Arusha Airport.
