From elephants beneath Tarangire’s baobabs to the wide-open Serengeti, this journey brings you into the heart of northern Tanzania’s wildlife country. Spend two nights in the Serengeti, giving you a full day to explore without changing camps, before finishing with a game drive inside the Ngorongoro Crater.

Meet your guide in Arusha and set off for Tarangire. Explore the park on a game drive, stopping for a picnic lunch along the way. Watch for elephants around the river and giraffes moving between the trees before continuing to Karatu for the evening.

After breakfast, travel through the Ngorongoro highlands towards the Serengeti. This is a substantial travel day, with changing scenery along the route. Once inside the park, enjoy wildlife viewing on the way to your camp or lodge.

Spend the day exploring the Serengeti with your guide. Follow the wildlife sightings and take time to watch what unfolds, from a pride of lions resting in the shade to herds grazing across the plains. Take a picnic lunch for a full day out, or arrange your game drives around a lunch break at camp.

Head out for an early game drive before beginning your journey towards the Ngorongoro highlands. Enjoy wildlife viewing as you leave the Serengeti, then continue to your lodge for dinner and a restful evening ahead of tomorrow’s crater visit.

Start early and descend into the crater for your final game drive. Explore its varied habitats with your guide and enjoy a picnic lunch before beginning the return journey to Arusha. Arrival is expected later in the day; onward flights should be coordinated with the final schedule.
